To get rid of them it's not enough to simply connect the same colors – you also need to get animals to devour the pieces. In other words, you connect up colorful pieces and clear the board by feeding their respective predators.

The game's difficulty stems from the fact that every time you get rid of a piece, it appears on your rival's board, just as hers will appear on yours, putting you in a tight squeeze if you're not quick enough or fail to feed the animals. As play goes on you become visually and mentally more agile, able to recover more quickly from rival attacks, and gradually build up the number of discarded pieces you leave on their board.
